Fielding questions during his press conference, Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Dr Reza Amiri Moghadam appreciated Pakistan’s stance on the Israel-Iran conflict and spoke about the damage sustained by Iran during the US strikes.

Asked about damages from the US airstrikes, Dr Moghadam said Iran can make a nuclear arsenal, but the country was using nuclear technology for energy and medical purposes.

“Our nuclear technology is not a physical thing, but it’s in the minds of our nuclear scientists, so therefore the US strikes have not made any significant harm to our nuclear programme,” he added.

Asked what Iran was expecting in the visit of the Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to Russia, the ambassador said no country will come to war against the US and Israel.

“We have to fight against them alone,” he added.

Responding to a question about assistance from Muslim countries, Dr Moghadam said: “We do not want to bring any other Islamic state into this war. However, we are fighting the war of not only Iran but the whole Islamic Ummah.”
