Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad noted that Pakistan has adopted a “principled position”, rooted in international law and the UN Charter, and:
- Strongly and unambiguously condemned Israeli aggression and expressed solidarity for Iran’s inherent and legitimate right to self-defence
- Denounced unlawful Israeli unilateral strikes on IAEA safeguarded nuclear facilities
- Called for bringing an end to this aggression
- Advocated for the cessation of hostilities and reverting to dialogue and diplomacy
