Deputy PM Ishaq Dar has affirmed that “Pakistan fully supports Iran’s inherent right to self-defence under Article 51 of the UN Charter in response to the blatant and unprovoked Israeli aggression”, referring to the strikes by Israel ongoing for the past week.
Noting that Israel’s attacks on Iran took place while the IAEA was carrying out its verification activities in Iran, Dar asserted that Israel violated international law, IAEA statute, and several IAEA resolutions by attacking the IAEA-safeguarded facilities.
“These attacks risk setting a dangerous precedent and pose a grave threat to the safety of populations in the entire region and around the globe,” he highlighted.
