ISLAMABAD: The political affairs committee reiterated its commitment to further strengthen coordination, ensure timely execution of development projects, and support the prime minister’s agenda for good governance, economic stability, and national cohesion.

It discussed the ongoing political engagement strategy and measures to improve coordination among parliamentarians, federating units, and government ministries. The decision was made during a meeting chaired by federal Minister for Public Affairs Rana Mubashar Iqbal.

The political affairs committee has been constituted by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The minister highlighted that the committee is tasked with identifying key political challenges affecting governance, public service delivery, and public grievances.

The body will play a central role in facilitating consultations with stakeholders and helping the prime minister finalise a responsive and inclusive political agenda.

The committee is also responsible for gathering regular feedback and insights from elected representatives, political workers, civil society, and opinion-makers on the performance of ministries and government projects.

These inputs will be consolidated and presented as formal recommendations to the prime minister to ensure transparency and accountability in governance.
