HYDERABAD: Unidentified motorcyclists lobbed a locally made bomb at a police check-post near Wadhu Wah gate in Nasim Nagar on Wednesday, causing harassment in the area. Luckily, no one was hurt in the attack.

The bomb landed near the check-post’s door at 3.20am and exploded, causing panic among the staff posted there.

Hyderabad SSP Adeel Hussain Chandio said that it was a petrol bomb and caused no major loss. Bomb Disposal Squad staff also arrived there to inspect the scene.

Police were obtaining footages from close circuit television cameras installed in the locality, while a case was lodged under sections 6/7 Anti-Terrorism Act, 324, 353, 427, 34 PPC and 3 & 4 of Explosive Substance Act.

The outlawed Sindhudesh Revolutionary Army is said to have claimed responsibility for the attack as a message to Naseem Nagar police.
