QUETTA: Adviser to Balochistan Chief Minister on Women’s Development Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi has said that the gender parity report is an important reference that will assist in planning for women’s welfare, protection of their rights, and promotion of gender equality in the future.

She expressed these views during a meeting with UN Women, Balochistan, head Ayesha Wadood and Dawood Nangial. The UN Women presented the gender parity report to Dr Buledi, followed by a detailed discussion.

Dr. Rubaba said that research and analytical documents like the gender parity report guide policymaking, adding the Balochistan government is committed to launching programmes in collaboration with international organisations to empower women and provide long-term solutions to their problems.

Together with organisations like UN Women, they will take effective and lasting measures at the grassroots level, she said.

She further said the women’s development department will welcome all proposals and actions that help provide equal opportunities to women in education, health, employment and protection.
