TOBA TEK SINGH: Five members of a family were critically injured in firing by rivals in Gojra tehsil Chak 528-GB on Tuesday.

According to police, a dispute between the two groups began after a theft of a goat. The Gujjar group was blamed for stealing the goat. The Gujjar group opened fire as a result a girl and four men were wounded. They were identified as Sana Ashiq, 18, her father Ashiq, 65, uncles Abdul Hafeez, 41, and Shahid Mahmood, 37, and cousin Waqas, 27. The injured were shifted to the DHQ hospital.

KIDNAPPED: Nine people were kidnapped in three separate incidents in Gojra on Tuesday.

Naseer Masih, a resident of Chak 304-JB, complained to the police that his wife and three minor children were kidnapped by unidentified people.

In a similar incident, Azhar Abbas of Gojra Chak 346-JB said in his complaint to Nawan Lahore police that in his absence, his wife Naila and three sons had been kidnapped by unidentified persons. A 17-year-old girl was abducted allegedly by Mehran and his three accomplices in Gojra Chak 358-JB.

RAPE: A 14-year-old boy was raped by a vagabond youth in Gojra Chak 159-GB on Tuesday.

The father of the victim claimed in the FIR, registered under section 376 of PPC, that his son was lured by the accused to a house where he raped him.

He said the accused also filmed the incident on a mobile phone with the intention of blackmailing him. Gojra Saddar police claim to have arrested the accused.

FIRE: Ten animals including cows, buffaloes and sheeps were critically burnt in a fire at a farmer’s cattle pen in Jaranwala tehsil Chak 59-GB on Tuesday.

Rescue 1122 firefighters were able to control the fire which broke out due to unknown reasons.

GATE COLLAPSE: A minor girl died and another was injured after a steel gate of a house and adjoining wall fell on them on Tuesday night in Ameer Din Town, a locality of Toba city.

The Rescue 1122 report said, six-year-old Assra, daughter of Nisar, received a head injury and she succumbed to her wounds instantly. Her four-year-old sister, Effra, was shifted to the DHQ hospital.
