DERA GHAZI KHAN: Three youths were kidnapped for ransom from the jurisdictions of two police stations in Rajanpur.

In the first incident, two youths from Basti Nasirani Shah Gaji, within the limits of the Shahwali police station in tehsil Rujhan Mazari district Rajanpur, were abducted from Katcha Shahwali.

The abducted individuals include Barkat Malik and Sajid Nasirani. They had gone to Katcha after being invited to have a feast. The kidnappers lured them through a phone call.

The kidnappers have demanded a ransom from their families. The third one was kidnapped at gunpoint from Hadood Chowk in Rujhan Mazari in the vicinity of Rujhan Mazari police.

The families have appealed to Rajanpur police for the safe recovery of both youths without any ransom payment.

ACCIDENT: Three people of a family died in a road accident when their motorcycle was hit from the backside by a speeding car and then run overby a speeding truck on Dera-Multan Road.

According to the report, a crash involved a car, a truck, and a motorcycle, resulting in three fatalities on the spot .

Upon arrival, the rescue team found two individuals already dead , while the third critically injured person was given CPR but could not be revived.

Eyewitnesses stated that a man and two women were traveling on the motorcycle when a speeding car hit them from behind and fled the scene. The impact caused all three to fall onto the road, and a following truck ran over them, resulting in their immediate deaths.

The truck driver also did not stop and escaped.

The rescue team shifted the bodies to Allama Iqbal Teaching Hospital Dera Ghazi Khan after necessary procedures.

Speeding is being cited as the likely cause of the accident. However, earlier it was decided to install speed guns on Dera-Multan Road to control road accidents, but neither traffic/highway police nor concerned quarters took interest in the implementation of road safety measures to provide safe traveling to commuters.
