PPP Senator Sherry Rehman emphasised that India’s suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT) is against humanitarian and climate laws.

“Whatever they [Indians] are doing, can happen to them too.”

She said that Pakistan’s manifesto has been to draw the world’s focus on the Kashmir dispute.

“Even [US President] Donald Trump said if it is not resolved then the region will continue to be instable”.

While criticising India’s act of war and the restriction placed on Sikh pilgrims by closing the Kartarpur corridor, Sherry said that “diplomacy must take its place”, and these issues should be resolved together with the help of arbitrators.
