The Indian Air Force has said “losses are a part of combat” without giving details but added that all its pilots were back home after fighting with Pakistan this week, responding to a question on whether the force suffered losses.

The comment was passed at a press conference on Operation Sindoor by the Indian defence forces.

In response to another question on the number of assets India lost, Indian Air Marshal AK Bharti said: “We are still in a combat situation … If I comment on anything, it will only be [an] advantage [to the] adversary.”

“We don’t want to give him any advantage at this stage,” he added.
