The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has resumed its flight operations after the reopening of Pakistani airspace, according to a spokesperson for the national flag carrier.

“PIA’s Paris-Islamabad flight PK 750, which landed in Quetta early in the morning, will return to Islamabad at 9pm,” the spokesperson said in a statement. “Other PIA operations will also resume from 10 pm and all grounded or delayed flights will operate.”

The statement added that passengers who returned to their homes or were accommodated in hotels are being contacted and called back to airports.

Additionally, aircraft and other equipment moved to safe locations are being brought back to operational areas.

“We apologise for the inconvenience caused to passengers due to the air traffic closure and disruption to operations, but caution was necessary given the circumstances,” the spokesperson added.
