Political parties in India-held Kashmir welcomed the ceasefire between India and Pakistan and expressed hope of permanent peace in the region, the Press Trust of India (PTI) reports.

According to PTI, Omar Abdullah, chief minister of India-held Kashmir, welcomed the ceasefire, saying it was better late than never.
