DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Police conducted a major search and strike operation on Saturday in the suburban and city areas of Dera Ismail Khan and arrested 13 suspects.

Police spokesperson Syed Yaqoob Bukhari said that during the operation, houses were searched along with snap checking at checkpoints including the inspection of vehicles and suspicious individuals.

He said that 13 suspects were arrested during the operation. He said that five of them were taken into custody on suspicion at the scene and three were apprehended for violating National Action Plan.

He said police recovered 395 grams of ice (meth), 200 grams of hashish, 541 grams of heroin and six rounds from five of the arrested persons. He said that FIRs were registered against all the arrested persons.

Meanwhile, Tank police intensified efforts to maintain law and order in the district On Saturday.

According to the police spokesperson, operations were being conducted in the district to maintain law and order and prevent criminal activities. He said that DSPs Anwar Khan Khattak and Abdul Ghani Khan were supervising snap checking on Tank-Pezu Road.

He said Thana Mullazai SHO Rafiullah Khan conducted operations in Saheli Pul, Amakhel Bazaar and Sharbat Adda. He added that ASI Amin Shah Khan Kundi carried out blockades in Pathankot and Rodikhel.

During these operations, suspicious motorcycles, vehicles, abandoned buildings, shops and individuals were thoroughly searched to prevent any potential threat or unlawful activity.

SP Haji Nasir Khan stated that Tank police were fully committed to ensuring safety and security of people. “These operations will continue to maintain peace and stability in the region,” he added.
