SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: A Frontier Corps (FC) subedar was martyred on Thursday morning in a sniper attack in the Asman Manza area of Ladha tehsil, Upper South Waziristan, sources confirmed.

According to reports, militants opened fire on security forces, resulting in the martyrdom of subedar Abdullah. The incident took place early in the morning as troops were carrying out routine duties in the area.

After the attack, security forces swiftly launched a search operation and cordoned off the area. However, the assailants managed to flee, taking advantage of the rugged mountainous terrain.

Security officials described subedar Abdullah as a brave and committed officer. His martyrdom has been widely mourned among his colleagues and senior leadership within the FC.
