LAHORE: Ajoka Theatre is set to present its critically acclaimed playLawrence in Lahoreon May 9 and 10 at Alhamra Hall 2.

Based on the little-known exploits of British spy T.E. Lawrence in the subcontinent after World War I,Lawrence in Lahoreunveils hidden stories of espionage, colonial politics and the early struggles for freedom in South Asia.

Written by Shahid Nadeem and Fawzia Afzal Khan and adapted

into a bilingual production, the play skillfully blends historical fact with fiction to offer fresh insights into the Great Game and its lasting impact on the region.

The production brings to life key locations of Lahore’s colonial past, such as the historic Nedous Hotel and the Arab Hotel on Railway Road.

Through compelling storytelling, dynamic performances, archival footage, live music and dance,Lawrence in Lahorecreates a vibrant and thought-provoking theatrical experience.

First performed to great acclaim earlier this year, the play received high praise for its engaging narrative, strong performances, and its ability to connect historical events to present-day realities.

Audiences appreciated Ajoka’s signature style of using theatre as a tool for social reflection and dialogue.
