RAWALPINDI: Intermediate annual exams under Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (RBISE) are scheduled to start on April 29.
According to RBISE spokesman Arslan Cheema, 59,550 students will appear in the exams, adding Section 144 had been imposed in and around the centres.
He said RBISE Chairman Mohammad Adnan Khan had adopted zero tolerance against cheating cases.
He said roll number slips of regular students had already been sent to their institutions and that of private students uploaded on the board’s website /http://www.biserawalpindi.edu.pk besides being dispatched at the addresses mentioned in their admission forms.
The spokesman quoted the board chairman as saying best possible arrangements had been put in place for the exams.
The date sheets, lists of examiners and centres have been sent to all deputy commissioners, district police officers and Special Branch in the division. He said 195 examination centres had been set up in the division.
“The examination centres are being effectively and comprehensively monitored. In order to prevent duplication, the Punjab government has taken strict action against the cheating mafia by adopting the zero tolerance policy,” he added.
