RAWALPINDI: A woman was shot dead by unidentified car occupants in Rawat area on Sunday, police said.

Musarat Bibi, 60, a property owner and real estate agent, was accompanied by three men and a woman whom she was supposed to show a piece of land near Budhal. According to the police, she was targeted on Chak Beli Road.

Later, the police shifted her body to a hospital for postmortem. A search has been launched to trace the culprits.

Shortly after the incident, senior police officers reached the crime scene and collected evidence. The city police officer has sought a report on the incident from SP Saddar division and directed the immediate arrest of the suspects. They added investigators were probing the case from various angles.
