With Eid just around the corner, the festive spirit is in full swing in almost every household. To keep the beautiful traditions alive, why not add a creative touch to your home decor?
This DIY wall hanging, made with useless mobile box, cardboard and craft sticks, brings a charming blend of nature and creativity to your wall.
Things you need:
Craft sticks (large or small your choice), in case of large you need at least 10.
Empty Mobile phone box
A-4 sized cardboard peace
Two A-4 sized coloured papers (you can also use patterned)
Glue stick
Fake flowers and leaves
Pieces of green shreds either from crape paper, or simple green paper.
Stones or pebbles (optional)
Hot glue or white glue
Scissors

Directions:
Start by cutting the top of the cardboard piece into a triangle, to create a rooftop effect, picture 2
Cover the cardboard with brown paper or any colour of your choice. Then, take another coloured paper and paste it one centimetre below the first layer to create a contrast and highlight the background colour, pictures 3 and 4.
Cut the craft sticks in half, then trim the tops into a triangle shape to resemble a hedge, picture 5.
Fill an empty mobile phone box with shredded green crepe paper, picture 6.
With the help of an adult, use hot glue to attach flowers, leaves or twigs onto the shredded paper, picture 7.
Carefully glue the craft sticks onto the mobile box, with the triangle-cut tops facing upward. Cover the front and both sides, leaving the back uncovered, as it will be attached to the cardboard, pictures 8, 9.
Secure the decorated mobile box onto the cardboard, ensuring it is firmly in place, picture 10.
Write “Home Sweet Home” on a piece of paper or print it out, then paste it in the centre of the cardboard wall. To enhance the look, you can also add a maroon strip to the top triangular part to highlight the wall’s colours, picture 11.
Create a loop using ribbon or string and attach it to the centre of the back of the cardboard for hanging, picture 12.
This cute mini garden can also be used as a key holder! You can either create small loops using string and glue them onto the craft sticks or attach steel hooks, which are easily available at hardware stores. However, this step is completely optional.
Enjoy your ‘mini garden’ and enhanced it more with your own creative touch. n
