QUETTA: The Balochistan Healthcare Commission (BHC) inspection team conducted its first visit to Akram Hospital as a part of its ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with healthcare standards in the province.

During the visit, the BHC team engaged with the hospital administration, including key technical staff from various specialities, and briefed them on the commission’s mandate, emphasising the importance of adherence to healthcare regulations.

The team delivered a comprehensive presentation outlining the registration and licensing procedures, as well as the complaint resolution mechanism established by the commission.

The focus of the session was on Key Patient Safety Areas and the implementation of Minimum Service Delivery Standards, which are critical for maintaining quality healthcare services.

Additionally, the BHC team offered its support in training hospital staff to enhance their competence in key areas of patient care and building compliance with regulatory standards to improve service delivery.
