KARACHI: Omega Club clinched the Karachi Basketball Championship title on Sunday, defeating Mambas Club 54-48 in a gripping final.

Taimoor led Omega with 13 points, while Ans Azher contributed 12. Mambas’ Kenneth scored 14 points and Zain Ali added 12.

Ans credited his team’s “relentless dedication and teamwork” for the victory.

The final, held at the LOB Basketball Courts, was attended by scrutiny committee chairman Ashfaq Ahmed.

Omega’s win solidifies their dominance in Karachi’s basketball scene. The championship brought together top teams from across the city, showcasing intense competition and skill.

In the semi-finals, Om­ega defeated Raiders 58-39, while Mambas edged Mave­ricks 43-37.
