RAWALPINDI: City Police Officer Syed Khalid Hamdani said that foolproof security arrangements have been made in coordination with the Pakistan Army, Rangers, and other security agencies for practice sessions of Champions Trophy cricket matches.

A police spokesman said that during Champions Trophy 2025, practice at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium session, CPO Syed Khalid Hamdani, and SSP Operations Kashif Zulfiqar are directly supervising the security and traffic arrangements. As more than 5,000 officers and personnel of Rawalpindi police are performing security duties, over 350 officers and personnel of Traffic Police are performing duties to maintain traffic flow.

As part of the security, expert snipers have been deployed on rooftops around the route and stadium, police teams, Dolphin Force, and Elite Force are performing patrol duties around and around the stadium, Divisional SPs, SP Security, SPCIA, SDPOs, and other senior officers are checking and briefing the officers on duty.

Senior police officers reviewed the security and other arrangements of entry gates, parking, adjacent buildings, rooftops, markets, and other important places.

CPO Syed Khalid Hamdani said that foolproof security arrangements have been made in coordination with the Pakistan Army, Rangers, and other security agencies. Foolproof security will be ensured for the Champions Trophy matches. All possible steps are being taken in coordination with all relevant institutions to provide the citizens with complete convenience and a pleasant environment.
