Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has demanded “concrete steps” towards a two-state solution for Palestine.
Speaking during a briefing to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Group in New York at the ambassadorial level, he said, “We must endorse the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s recent statement about the establishment of a Palestinian state as a pre-condition for normalisation in the region.
“To this end, OIC should work collectively for the global recognition of the state of Palestine and press for its full membership to the United Nations,” he added.
“We must make the two-state solution a political inevitability.”
