Policeman shot at, hurt

KARACHI: A police inspector was shot at and hurt in the Site area on early Saturday morning.

Police said Inspector Mohammad Hanif Shah, 47, was shot near Naurus Chowrangi and fled.

SITE-A SHO Javed Akhter said the wounded inspector is in-charge of security of the residence of former caretaker CM Maqbool Baqar in the Garden area. He was returning home in Baldia Town on a motorbike when armed pillion riders attacked him.
