DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Three personnel of the Frontier Corps Balochistan, who were abducted from the Chini Machankhel area, have been safely recovered in Tank district, sources confirmed on Saturday.

The rescued personnel have been identified as sepoys Ehsan, Inam and Fazal Rahim.

According to a police report, the personnel had gone for sightseeing in the Pink Mountain foothills when unidentified individuals kidnapped them.

Following the incident, security forces launched a successful operation, ensuring their safe recovery.

Meanwhile, the Dera police foiled a drug smuggling bid and recovered over 17 kilogrammes of hashish from a car in the limits of Giloti police station.

A police spokesman said personnel stopped a car for checking and recovered 17.6kg hashish from it, while Rs209,000 cash was also recovered from the accused, who was identified as Mohammad Farqan of Lakki Marwat.
