That’s exactly what today’s cute little project is all about — especially designed for girls of all ages. Yes, today we are making a cute chenille string Mickey Mouse ring!

Things you need:

  1. Two chenille strings: red and black (also called pipe cleaners)

  2. Beads (optional)

  3. Hot glue (optional)

Directions:

  1. Start with the black chenille string and shape it into a ‘U’, picture 2.

  2. Insert it between your index finger and twist it twice to form a ring that matches your finger size; pictures 3 and 4.

  3. Place it on a flat surface and gently fold the right side of the string to form a coil. Keep your grip firm, as chenille strings are soft and can lose their shape if handled carelessly. Continue folding until you reach the finger ring; pictures 5 and 6.

  4. Repeat the folding process on the left side of the string, all the way to the finger ring; picture 7.

  5. To make the bow, take the red chenille string and wrap it around two fingers halfway. Then bring the string from top to bottom between your fingers and pull it up through the space between them. This will secure the string. Hold it tightly and pull to tighten; picture 8.

  6. Take it out from your fingers and place it on the ears of the Mickey Mouse ring. Then, insert the loose end inside and wrap it tightly around the space between the ears and ring; pictures 10, 11 and 12.

  7. Shape the red chenille into a small bow and keep it tight. You can optionally secure its centre with hot glue and paste beads onto the bow for added detail.
