KARACHI: Mohammad Salar and Asad Zaman will face off in the Under-18 final of the Ocean Siddiqsons National Juniors Tennis Championship after securing semi-final victories here at the DA Creek Club on Friday.

This clash comes just a week after an intense final at the Ghazi & Magsi National Junior and Senior Tennis Championship, where Asad mounted a stunning comeback to edge Salar in a match marred by controversial officiating.

To book their spot in the final, both players delivered strong performances, Salar overcame a resilient Muhammad Yahya 6-2, 3-6, 6-2 in a gripping contest while Asad made quick work of Taimoor Ansari cruising to a 6-2, 6-1 victory.

With emotions still raw, this upcoming final is shaping up to be another high-stakes battle as Salar seeks redemption while Asad aiming to maintain his supremacy in their growing rivalry.

In other matches, Romaisa Malik secured a place in the girls Under-18 final with a commanding 6-2, 6-1 win over Noor Hilalay.

Under-14 singles quarter-final witnessed Junaid Meher defeated Ansarullah 5-3, 4-0.

Under-12 singles second round saw Majid Bachani claim a 4-0, 4-0 win while Syed Sufyan edged Umer Zaman 1-4, 4-1, 4-2.

In the Under-10 singles quarterfinals, Abdullah Ali defeated Qazi Ahyan 1-4, 5-3, 4-1 while Ayan Essa Jee battled past Dua Yousuf 1-4, 5-4, 5-4.

In doubles action, Ruhab and Ismail Aftab dominated Shahmir and Azlan with a 6-0, 6-0 victory in the Under-18 quarter-finals.

Meanwhile, Zohha Imad claimed the girls Under-12 singles title with a 4-0, 4-1 win over Areeba Fatima.
