SUKKUR: Two more members of the Jagirani community lost their lives in tit-for-tat attacks in a village situated within Rohri taluka of Sukkur district, leading the death toll in their hostility to eight.

A petty matter of animal grazing in the field of one group by the other a few weeks ago had taken the shape of hostility between them.

In the following attacks and counter-attacks, six more persons from the two sides were killed.

A couple of days back, armed men shot dead Mohammad Ali Jagirani and escaped. On Wednesday evening, the assailants from the rival side opened fire on two persons, Munawwar and Abdul Aziz. Munawwar died on the spot and Abdul Aziz was admitted to the taluka hospital, officials at the Dubar police station said.

The police were making efforts to stop further bloodshed in the hostility.
