Yahya clinches U-17 squash title

ISLAMABAD: Mohammad Yahya Asad reigned supreme in the boys Under-17 final of the Shell Pakistan National Junior Squash Championship here at the Mushaf Squash Complex on Sunday.

Yahya, representing PAF, vanquished department-mate Mustafa Irfan 11-8, 11-5, 11-1. Meanwhile, Sindh’s Huzaifa Shahid, who won the Japan junior Open title in 2024, bagged the Under-15 title after defeating Shahzeb of PAF 12-10, 11-8, 11-4.

Faizan Ali from Army came out on top in the Under-13 category after he defeated Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Mohammad Fawad Khan 11-7, 11-8, 11-5.

The girls Under-15 decider witnessed a showdown between sisters, with Sehrish Ali emerging victorious after Mahnoor Ali retired in the second game 11-9, 5-3.

In the Plate Event of Girls Under-15, Ms Sadaf Afridi downed Ms Hiba Imtiaz 13-15, 11-4, 11-7, 5-11, 11-6.
