SARGODHA: In collaboration with Art and Artist Society Sargodha, drama Hum Ek Hain was staged in the Main Hall of the Sargodha Arts Council on the occasion of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah Day and Christmas.

On this occasion, a Christmas cake was also cut. The play was written and directed by Sheikh Mujahiduz Zaman while its producer was Wajahatullah.

The actors included Qasim Ali, Naseem Abbas Khan, Asma Khan, Shahid Bukhari, Mubashir Ahmed, Aslam Prince, Aamna Nadeem, Imran Gul and Saima. On this occasion, the special guest, Tahir Naveed Chaudhry, chairman of Pakistan Minorities Alliance, expressed his valuable views and highlighted the importance of this day.

This play gives a positive message that brings to the fore the importance of unity and peace of our nation. Sargodha Arts Council Assistant Director Muhammad Farooq, Assistant Director Muhammad Khan Hargan and Assistant Director Dr Muhammad Muzammil Murtaza participated in the ceremony.

DONATION: The Department of Communication and Media Studies of the University of Sargodha received a contribution from local philanthropist Ahmad Bilal who donated 100 international edition books worth Rs1.6m for academic resources of the Postgraduate Study Centre of the department.

The donation was made through the Mushtri Khanum Foundation, an organization established in honor of Mr Bilal’s late mother, who served as principal of Federal School Sargodha. His father, Malik Hanif, is the retired principal of Government College of Commerce, Sargodha.
