LAHORE: The Pakistan Administrative Service Association (PASA), Punjab Chapter, on Sunday elected its committee unopposed, having Babar Aman Babar as its president and Manzar Ali Javed as secretary.

The PASA general body meeting was held at the PAS Campus, Civil Services Academy,

The Mall, to formally announce the newly-elected committee for the next two-year term.

The general body meeting was attended by Election Commissioner Babar Hayat Tarar, outgoing president Ehsan Bhutta and members of the outgoing committee, along with the newly-elected office-bearers of the association.

“All the office-bearers have been elected with consensus and hence unopposed,” Mr Tarar announced and added that this reflected a spirit of camaraderie and mutual respect amongst the officers.

Some of the candidates had withdrawn their nominations in favour of their colleagues or chose to support the association by serving in the executive committee.

The new PASA committee comprises President Babar Aman Babar, Vice-President Imran Hamid Sheikh, Secretary Manzar Ali Javed and Treasurer Asim Javed.

The PASA committee’s 10 executive members are: Iqbal Hussain, Farrukh Atique, Nabila Irfan, Asif Farrukh, Wasim Sandhu, Sikander Zeeshan, Asima Ijaz Cheema, Bilal Saleem, Zahid Warraich and Samia Saleem.

The four co-opted members are Shahrukh Cheema, Abrahim Shah, Halima Munir and Saif-ul-Islam Khattak, who are expected to provide valuable support in enhancing the association’s coordination and documentation efforts.
