Iran’s Tasnim news agency, citing “informed sources”, reports there was no attack on any “military centres belonging to the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) in Tehran”, after explosions were heard in the city.

The sources told Tasnim that no IRGC military centres in the west and south of the Iranian capital have been targeted.

The sounds of explosions were related to the engagement of Iranian Army air defences with an Israeli military move in three locations around Tehran, the report added.

Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKIA) CEO Saeed Chalandari said the airport was in a stable situation and no security incidents had been reported.
