ISLAMABAD: A man allegedly killed his sister in the capital’s rural area, police said on Tuesday.

The incident took place in Golra area and a murder case was registered with the police on the complaint lodged by the uncle of both the deceased and the suspect.

Quoting the complainant, the police said both the victim and the suspect were the children of his late brother. He claimed that he rushed to the house of his late brother on hearing screams and found his 17-year-old niece dead. He and the other family members then overpowered the suspect, locked him in a room and informed the police.

He further alleged that the suspect had issues with the victim’s character as she had left the house a year ago and during this period had objectionable relations. The suspect killed his sister with a knife and also humiliated the body by kicking it, police said.

The incident took place when Usman Khan was attending a call on his mobile phone while returning home on his motorcycle when two motorcyclists intercepted him at gunpoint and snatched his mobile phone. When Usman put up resistance, the robbers fired at him as a result of which he received bullet injuries to his abdomen and shoulder.
