Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said the “ongoing genocide in Gaza” cannot be ignored.

“We cannot ignore the ongoing genocide in Gaza,” he said in his closing remarks at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation’s summit in Islamabad.

“The international community bears the responsibility to ensure an immediate and unconditional ceasefire leading to the establishment of the State of Palestine on the basis of pre-1967 borders with Al-Quds as its capital,” the premier added.
