BAJAUR: Senior journalist Mohammad Khurshid, 60, passed away late Thursday night in Peshawar.

He was currently working with a Peshawar-based newspaper and died at night in his office in Peshawar. He was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard in Khar town on Friday afternoon.

The funeral prayer of the deceased journalist was attended by a large number of people from all walks of life including journalists from different parts of the province. He left behind a widow, three sons and a daughter to mourn his death.

Meanwhile, local journalists, media persons across the province, including the office bearers of Peshawar Press Club expressed great sorrow over the sudden death of Mohammad Khurshid.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Kareem Kundi also expressed great sorrow over the sudden death of Mr Khurshid and described his death an irreparable loss to the province in general and journalists circles in particular.
