DERA GHAZI KHAN: An elderly man and his young son were shot dead allegedly by five men on Saturday nightover ‘honour’ at Mauza Syedpur near Fazilpur in Rajanpur district.

As per police, Moj Ali (77) and his son Abdul Khaliq Shukarani (27) were asleep in the courtyard of their house when five suspects barged in and opened fire on them.

As a result, both father and sons died on the spot, while the assailants fled away.

Fazilpur police have registered a double-murder case of elderly father and young son against five including four nominated accused.According to the first information report (FIR), the suspects had suspicion that Abdul Khaliq had relations with a woman who was related to them.Rajanpur Saddar Circle DSP Humayun Iftikhar and Fazilpur SHO Yasin, along with a policeteam reached the spot and shifted the bodies of the victims to Fazilpur Rural Health Center for the postmortem examination.Later, the police registered a case against five suspects, four of them nominated, under section 302, 148 and 149 of the PPC on the report of Razaq, a son of Moj Ali.
