QUETTA: The National Highway Authority (NHA) has decided to open the Pinjra Bridge in Bolan district to public transport on August 1.

According to NHA General Manager Agha Inayat, the bridge was destroyed in the 2022 floods, and its reconstruction began in October last year.

The Rs550 million project, which was completed recently, is a significant milestone in the region’s infrastructure development. The 80-foot-high bridge, built in four parts, was initially expected to be completed in March, but weather conditions in Bolan caused a four-month delay.

The NHA official confirmed that the bridge will open on August 1, pending favorable weather conditions during the monsoon season.
