Blackpink to release concert film for anniversary
K-pop girl group Blackpink will mark its eighth anniversary with a film capturing its record-breaking world tour.
Titled Blackpink World Tour ‘Born Pink’, the film will hit screens in South Korea and over 100 other countries on July 31, offering fans a chance to relive the group’s electrifying performances, YG Entertainment said. The concert film captures the essence of the K-pop quartet’s “Born Pink” tour, which spanned 34 cities and drew an impressive 1.8 million spectators across 66 shows from 2022 to 2023. The tour has been hailed as the largest ever undertaken by a K-pop girl group.
Pokemon developer Game Freak reveals new game
While Game Freak mainly develops new games in the Pokemon franchise, their newest game released in Japan, Pand Land, is a free-to-play mobile game from publisher WonderPlanet.
Pand Land is an RPG where players travel across the ocean, discovering new islands and dungeons as they seek out treasure. The challenges can be tackled solo, or with multiple people, offering the players freedom in how they approach the gameplay. Unfortunately, the game has not been announced for other regions. It’s also possible we could see Pand Land on PlayStation or Xbox. Currently, Game Freak is also working on Pokemon Legends: Z-A, the next entry in the Pokemon franchise.
Insights into Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree
From Software and Bandai Namco are gearing up for the release of Elden Ring’s first and only downloadable content (DLC), Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree.
The highly-anticipated paid expansion officially releases on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. Publisher Bandai Namco shared a launch trailer for the DLC featuring the voice of Miquella. The character is the demigod brother of Elden Ring’s Malenia and is central to the DLC’s story.
“Guided by Empyrean Miquella, players are beckoned to the Land of Shadow, where the goddess Marika first set foot. In these strange new lands, players discover some dark secrets of the world,” an official description reads. Shadow of the Erdtree will introduce the new world, along with new weapons, equipment, weapon skills, magic, enemies, boss encounters and plotlines.
