Fathers, the epitome of love and strength

This is regarding the article “Fathers, the epitome of love and strength” by Ramsha Mujib (YW, June 15th). Fathers are one of life’s greatest gifts. They teach us valuable lessons and are always there to support, protect and guide us. The article beautifully captures the importance of fathers in our lives.

A father’s presence is a true blessing which should be cherished throughout our lives.

Those who don’t appreciate their fathers, should read the article “Fathers, the epitome of love and strength” by Ramsha Mujib.

Our fathers work every day in harsh conditions for our health and well-being, they hardly rest and are always concerned. Their only wish is for their children to become successful and make them proud.

Of sacrifice and mercy

This is with reference to the story “Of sacrifice and mercy” by Rabia Hamid (YW, June 8). The story beautifully illustrates that Eidul Azha is not just about the ritual of animal sacrifice, but also about compassion and community care.

So we should prioritise the needs of the poor and hungry when distributing the sacrificial meat.

The story “Of sacrifice and mercy” by Rabia Hamid portrayed the love for sacrificial animals of Eidul Azha. No doubt these animals are very precious as they spend a very short period of time with us before they are slaughtered to commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to follow God’s command.

The story teaches us that we should sacrifice our animals (our precious things) for the love of Allah; and distribute meat to the poor who cannot afford to buy it.

Late-night terror

This is regarding the story, “Late-night terror” by Aamna Faraz (YW, May 25). The story showed how important it is to be careful and stay vigilant especially when you’re alone, like during late-night walks. It also warned about the dangers of not paying attention to one’s surroundings.

The suggestions in the story are to avoid or stay vigilant during late-night walks, make sure your home is secure and keep your phone handy for emergencies. Always trust your instincts and act fast if you feel unsafe.
