RAWALPINDI: A plumber allegedly committed suicide by drinking acid after failing to pay his house rent in the limit of Waris Khan police on Monday.

According to police reports, the deceased was residing with his family in a rented house in the limits of Waris Khan police and could not pay the rent of his house due to which the house owner had an exchange of hot words with him which drove him into distress.

According to his family member, he drank acid from the washroom which deteriorated his condition and subsequently he was shifted to Benazir Bhutto Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A police report said that the man in his 50 was brought to the emergency ward of BBH in critical condition on Monday at about 8.15 am by his son.
