LAHORE: The Maas Foundation Theatre will organise ‘Sargodha Theatre Festival’ in the last week of August in collaboration with the city government Sargodha.

It will stage its three famous plays Permasher Singh, Hattak and Akhiyan Walio in the festival. This three-day festival will be organised in connection with the independence day festivity.

Maas foundation’s president Aamir Nawaz will direct the plays.

Punjabi play: A Punjabi play titled ‘Rocka Rolla’ was staged at Alhamra Cultural Complex, Ferozepur Road, on Sunday, attracting a large number of audience.

An Olmopolo production, the play, directed by Kanwal Khoosat and Vicky Zhuang Yi-Yin and written by Farjad Nabi, was the culmination of OLO Summer Camp 2024.

The music was composed by Agha Haider, while it was produced by Olomopolo. It is about four lovable animals -- a donkey, a dog, a cat, and a rooster -- who set out on a musical adventure like no other.

The animals defy the odds and reach Kasur to form a musical group, but their journey was full of thrilling challenges.

From outwitting robbers in an old cottage to belting out melodies that’ll make one’s heart dance, these spirited animals stole the show.

The play was a package full of music, laughters and desi charm, staged with a wonderful set designed by Olomopolo.
