RIYADH: Pakistan’s snooker duo, Asjad Iqbal and Awaisullah Munir, produced a sensational performance to defeat India 3-0 in the quarter-finals of the ACBS Asian 15-Red Team Snooker Championship on Thursday.

The Pakistani pair dominated the match from the start, winning the first frame 63-35 against Indian cuiests Sarav Kothari and Hussain Khan. Asjad and Awaisullah, 30, continued their impressive form, taking the second frame 75-22.

The Indian team struggled to find their footing, and Pakistan sealed the victory with a convincing 70-06 win in the third frame.

With this win, Pakistan has stormed into the semi-finals, where they will face Hong Kong. By reaching the last-four stage Pakistan have secured at least the bronze medal in the team championship.

In the Asian team championship, 18 teams have been divided into six groups.
