Beware of distractions

This is regarding the cover article “Beware of distractions” by Muhammad Majid Shafi (YW, May 4). The writer described how school-going students face distractions, especially during exam time, and provided effective strategies to overcome them. These strategies are crucial to prevent our grades and careers from being ruined during such a critical period.

The writer also discussed the constant distractions from social media, suggesting that logging out of all such accounts can help. To achieve the desired grades and career goals, students should focus more on studies and get help from their elders.

Echoes of love

This is regarding the cover article “Echoes of love” by Shahmeer Asif (YW, May 11th). Mothers hold a special place in everyone’s heart, whether they are strict or gentle. The writer beautifully captured the bond between a son and his mother.

Not all boys are good at expressing their feelings to their mothers, but a mother knows everything; she doesn’t need validation or expression of love for her. She feels it, cares for you and loves you unconditionally.

Always cherish her presence in your life. Her insights are invaluable, and if you feel she is interfering, consider it a blessing. Many children long for such a loving and close relationship but they don’t have it. So enjoy every moment and celebrate every day with her.

Surprise for our mother

This is regarding the story “Surprise for our mother” by Rabia Hamid (YW, May 11). The story highlighted the special place mothers hold in everyone’s life. While each day should be a celebration, we can make an extra effort to make Mother’s Day special.

In my opinion, one should give their mother something she truly desires or take her out for a nice outing, because a mother deserves to be treated like a queen. She is the epitome of love, courage, tolerance and forgiveness.

The story “Surprise for our mother” by Rabia Hamid was heart-warming and inspiring. It encouraged everyone to make any day special, just as the two sisters in the story did by arranging their mother’s dream of setting up a home garden.

The story beautifully portrayed the love children have for their mother and also highlighted the importance of planting trees in our surroundings.
