PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim on Wednesday launched an application – Advocate’s Case Diary – on the official website of the high court, having several functions for facilitation of lawyers.

On this occasion, the chief justice said the deployment of application marked a significant step forward in the modernisation of judiciary.

He said the application was not just a software programme but a bridge between tradition and innovation.

According to a press release issued here, the web application streamlined processes and judicial procedures by making them cost effective and efficient.

Some features of the application included fixation of cases of each advocate; keeping record of all pending as well as decided cases of a particular advocate; displaying all issued summons in a particular case as well as showing complete fixation of a particular case.

The advocates will have the facility to access all scanned record of their own cases with added features like printing and downloading options.
