LAHORE: Incar-cerated PTI leaders Senator Ijaz Chaudhry termed PML-N President Nawaz Sharif a political stuntman.

In an informal talk with media persons at an anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Wednesday, Chaudhry said, “Isn’t celebrating May 28 [marking Pakistan’s nuclear tests] after 26 years is a political stunt.”

He said Nawaz was still “stumbling in the darkness of the past” and had no vision or programme for the betterment of this country and the youth.

“How Nawaz Sharif, who left the country after striking a deal with the establishment, can compete with Imran Khan [who is] standing for the upholding of the Constitution,” Mr Chaudhry said.

“If Nawaz had even an iota of moral courage, he would have declined taking over the government constituted on the basis of Form-47,” said Mr Cheema.

He also said the Sharif family would soon be compelled to “return the wealth they looted from Pakistan”.

Former governor Omar Sarfraz Cheema, on the occasion said, they had been imprisoned for over a year for the crimes they did not commit.
