The academic year is ending in almost all schools. There have been cries, jubilations and exchanges of love through gifts and cards to friends and teachers. There could be many reasons behind this: some may be leaving the school, others saying good luck for the next year, while some celebrate as they enter the new academic year.
Among the many types of expressions of love and sentiments to friends and teachers, cards are the most frequently exchanged items.
So taking the opportunity this time of year brings, we are making a unique card today, in which you can write your messages in a distinctive style. Let’s get started!
Things you need:
Two A4-sized coloured papers (both different colours, I chose rust and black)
Scissors
Coloured markers, you can also use golden and silver markers.
Direction:
All the measurements are based on A4-sized paper, so follow the directions carefully. Take the black paper, place it in landscape orientation, and fold it into four equal parts so that the folded side is in the middle, see picture 2.
Using a pencil, mark this folded side, top to bottom at one centimetre, picture 3.
Now carefully make straight cuts on these marked points until you reach the crease in the middle, picture 4. You can draw a line if you are not good at cutting straight.
Cut on all points throughout the card, pictures 5 and 6.
These cuts will form small folds. Carefully open them by keeping one fold to the right and the other to the left, picture 7.
Measure the width of this fold in the card, and cut two pieces of paper from the other coloured A4-sized paper, picture 8.
Now carefully insert these papers in the folds of the card, pictures 9 and 10.
This amazing card is ready, right your messages, wishes or anything on the folds that you want to say to your loved ones.
You can make any design on the front of the card which is plain, or make a similar lined, or checkered pattern.
