LAHORE: A three-member fact-finding committee has been formed to identify factors behind the Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s defeat in the National Assembly constituency NA-127, Lahore, in the Feb 8 general election.

The fact-finding panel comprising PPP central Punjab executive member Khan Asif Khan, former state minister Imtiaz Safdar Warraich and ex-Punjab health minister Rana Ikram Rabbani has been formed by the party’s provincial president Raja Pervaiz Ashraf. It will present its report by June 15, says a notification.

PPP central Punjab secretary general Syed Hasan Murtaza, who issued the notification, says the committee will decide its own terms of reference.

Meanwhile, Mr Murtaza has begun consulting various party leaders to discuss party reorganisation.

On Friday, he visited senior party leader Naveed Chaudhry.
