KARACHI: Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a suspected robber from Lahore, who has committed robberies at a laboratory and different pharmacies and killed a police officer in Karachi.

The suspect, identified as Shaharyar Ghauri, was apprehended with help of technology and human intelligence by an investigation team of Clifton police, a spokesperson for the law-enforcement agency said.

During interrogation, the suspect ‘confessed’ that he had killed an assistant sub-inspector while he had also committed over 30 robberies in different parts of the metropolis.

He also ‘admitted’ to wounding a staff member of the Aga Khan Lab during a robbery in South district. He had committed six robberies at different pharmacies.
