QUETTA: Balochistan Economic Forum President Sardar Shoukat Aziz Popalzai has said that the province has a wider scope of socioeconomic development under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Talking to the media on Tuesday, he said terrorism incidents against the Chinese commercial interests are condemnable.

He said the future scenario in Balochistan will be conducive to economic prosperity and development.

He said it was most important to invite foreign investment in the province, especially from China, in the form of technology, and the time was ripe for such endeavours.

He added that this was the quickest way forward for the impoverished province, otherwise rich in natural resources.

Referring to the law and order situation, he opposed all kinds of terrorism as foreign investments would need support and protection to ensure a prosperous Balochistan.
