KARACHI: A young man shot dead his colleague and ended his life in their office in North Nazimabad on Tuesday evening, police said.

Central SSP Zeeshan Shafiq Siddiqi said that Burhan Israr, 25, who worked at a private firm in Block-M, arrived at his office and opened indiscriminate fire. As a result, Fiza Javed, 19, who worked in the same firm, suffered two bullet wounds and died on the spot.

He said that the suspect also ended his life by shooting himself in the head.

The Taimuria police and the crime scene unit collected a 9mm pistol and some spent bullet casings from the spot.

The SSP said that investigators were looking into the possible motives behind the incident.
