TAXILA: Police resolved a murder case involving a man who turned out to be the killer of his friend in Hazro town of Attock.

According to a police spokesman, Shabbir Ahmed’s body was found with his throat slit in the wheat fields near Syedan village in the limits of Hazro police station on April 14. Police had registered a murder case against the unknown killer and launched a hunt for him.

Later, through human and digital intelligence, some leads pointed to Zain Ali, the deceased’s friend. He was subsequently taken into custody, and during interrogation, confessed to having killed his friend after an argument over some petty dispute.

The police arrested the suspect and recovered a knife that was used in the murder.
